Maple, Butter and Sage Parchment Roasted Turkey

14-16lb turkey
2 sticks butter, room temperature
4 tbsp sage, minced
½ cup maple syrup
salt and pepper



Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, combine butter, sage and maple syrup then mix until thoroughly blended.

Place a cleaned and dried turkey on a cutting board or large pan and liberally salt and pepper, then carefully separate the membrane from the breasts and add 1/3 of the butter mixture underneath.

Place an If You Care XL Non Stick Parchment Roasting Bag seam side up in a large roasting pan, then carefully place your dressed and trussed turkey inside the center.

Cover turkey with remaining butter mixture, then close the open end of the bag by folding upward as many times as possible.

Place your turkey in the oven to roast for 2 hours.

Remove the turkey from the oven and carefully cut open the top of the bag, exposing the turkey. Spoon juices over the top of the turkey and allow to roast uncovered for another 45 minutes until thoroughly browned or inside temperature reads 165 degrees F.

Carve your turkey and serve immediately.
